Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is a well-known American following her win on American Idol's debut season. This win did more than propel her to fame and acclaim, but it also earned the singer a multi-album contract with RCA Records 19 Recordings and 'S Records. Since then, she's made several studio albums, including three which reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart and the rest of her albums just fell short of the top spot. Her name is regarded as one of the greatest success American Idol artists. In the course of her career it was evident that she experimented in new styles and themes of music. She often co-wrote songs with her husband to express her feelings. With her distinct voice and unique talent, she has received critical acclaim as well as numerous accolades. The Grammy Award is her most prestigious recognition. Apart from her singing profession, she has also been involved in television and film. River Rose and the Magical Lullaby is a children's story written by her. She was also involved in charitable work and various other organizations.
